Adapting Abbey Machinery’s 1300 Standard Tanker for LESS spreading on Challenging Ground
The move for more sustainable and precise slurry application via LESS applicators can sometimes be a challenge to farms on hilly, wet or uneven ground. Abbey Machinery have identified this and engineered a solution for farmers by adapting our 1300 Standard Tanker to work seamlessly with the 7.7m Flexi Shoe on the most difficult ground.
These tankers feature a re-engineered design, with axles repositioned further back and side-mounted doors to allow for the close mounting of a 7.7m Flexi-Shoe Applicator. This adjustment is key to maintaining as much weight as possible on the tractor hitch, improving stability and manoeuvrability, especially on varying terrains.
With an increasing number of farmers transitioning to LESS (Low Emission Slurry Spreading) applicators, these tankers offer a practical solution. They are particularly well-suited to smaller farms or those working with more difficult plots of land, such as hilly or wet conditions, where precision and control are crucial.
